The building that houses No 1 Shakespeare St used to be the Motor Museum and makes for a light, spacious and airy interior. The decor has been stylishly designed to make the most of the original features and give a modern feel at the same time.
It’s the perfect back drop to the delicious cuisine created by the Head Chef Carl who has 20 years of experience winning rosette for Billesley Manor in Stratford-upon-Avon (formerly Coombe Abbey). His Sous Chef Andy has 15 years’ experience working for P & O Cruises and at the award winning Howard Arms in Ilmington and Hamiltons Brasserie in Stratford-upon-Avon. We’re delighted to welcome you for cocktails, and the widest range of beers, wines and champagnes. Enjoy eating and drinking in a chilled out atmosphere.

The bar menu contains plenty of classic dishes such as home-made burger and pizza. Home- made beef and ale pie in short crust pastry with rich onion and ale sauce served with vegetables and new potatoes.
Ham hock – slow braised hock of ham in a mustard sauce on a bed of sweet potato mash. There is also an array of sandwiches made to order for a quick bite to eat at lunchtimes.
The restaurant menu has been designed to get the best out of local seasonal produce. Fine examples include:-
- Roast Beef – rare roast sirloin of beef and potatoes with shallots and red wine jus
- One Pot Chicken – pieces of free range chicken braised with seasoned vegetables and herb dumplings;
- Lamb Shank – slow roasted shank of lamb in a thyme, garlic and red wine sauce on a bed of creamy mash.
